Fathers’ group

There is a charge for these sessions, they are not covered by health insurance.
The hopitalfrancobritannique proposes discussion sessions for fathers to be.

Becoming a father is the result of personal effort. It can involve many difficulties which are rarely spoken of..

We invite you to participate in a themed group discussion held by one of the service’s psychologists and a Gynaecologist-Obstetrician. The following subjects will be raised: the desire to have a child, all of the aspects of becoming a father (haptonomy, ultra-sound, sound), the father’s role during birth with a visit to a delivery room, returning home, fathers and breast-feeding, paternity and sexuality, post-natal depression.

These themes are usually raised over six sessions, we strongly encourage that you sign up now and consequently you will be better prepared to welcome your child(ren) into the world. These are general guides for our discussions: you will obviously be able to raise your own preoccupations as they arise (depending on the progress of your partner’s pregnancy).

The paternity discussion groups are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8pm in the Symons hall (first basement level). Participation fee: €20 per session.

You can sign up using your partner’s dedicated space for inscription pre-natal sessions.

Held by a psychologist with the participation of Dr Denys CLEMENT, Gynaecologist-Obstetrician, or Dr Aymeric MANTEL, Gynaecologist-Obstetrician.
